In cooperation with Quaife in the U.K., Maptun has developed an exclusive gear kit that meets the demands of owners of serious high performance Saab street cars. Tired of being cautious when applying the throttle, or of changing gearboxes as often as you replace engine oil? Well, this is the kit for you! This 6-speed gear kit fits the stock gearbox housing of NG900, 9000, OG9-3 and 9-5 and is specified for extreme levels of torque. We have put this gear kit through demanding tests in one of our more extreme project cars, with 540 hp/ 517 lb/ft and it passed with flying colors! Contrary to previous 6-speed Quaife gear kits, this one is thus first of all more durable in terms of construction. Secondly, it has a gearing that is adapted to street use, rather than track or drag racing. The 6th gear is actually slightly higher than Saabs traditionally very high geared 5th gears.
